Fripp Out & Buy A Looper

2014-07-12

We-Bought-A-LOOPER2.jpg

This is an extension of two previous posts earlier this year by Jack Hertz and myself. Jack's was "I bought a Looper" and mine was "Anybody Like To Fripp Out?"

Anyhow I've owned my Loopers for a while nothing new to report or geek out over but music. Why make this post? I thought maybe all of you out there that use loopers or create looping music might wanna create a track or two. Below are two recent examples of me using my Digitech Jamman and Line 6 POD HD to Loop out with. I originally attempted a multi camera angle presentation even though my feet switching overdub in/out is not that exciting. I figured I throw in some video montage of ideas I'm crossing through.

Anyhow here is some new music warts and all.It does have a theme that revolves around the word Empathy. I didn't want to edit and re-edit the hell out of everything like "we" do when we create new projects. It kinda ruins the music and ruins the spontaneity of it all. Never the less I spent more time working the audio and video to what I deem acceptable but its always going to be better with time spent but time is short and running out.....

The first piece is called "The Way Through IS...."

The second piece is called "Myopic Empathy" and was done about 10 days ago and was separate from the original idea or perhaps a side kick to the Looping post.

E-Bow Test

2014-07-11

Posted by Head Joint In: Listening Booth
just recieved my new E-Bow a little whiler ago so this is my first test/practice using it..watched many tutorial videos on it so i had an idea on what i wanted to do..this is just one guitar track..the next song will have more than just a guitar track..

in a bit i will also try out this E-Bow using Midi Guitar. that way i can run any vst instrument using my guitar with the E-Bow...lots of fun for sure..definitely worth the $150 i paid for it..

A Very Early Work of Mine - Quad Conversion Espana

2014-07-11

Here as a "first look", is a soundscape video from early last December when I was still finding my footing, so to speak. Hope you find it interesting! I tend to use a single loop for the video body past the title cards, so as not to distract too much from the audio, rather than to create a "music video" styled release.

Pointillism Original Cassette Cover Art

2014-07-10

Posted by Jack Hertz In: Listening Booth

Here is one for TBT. The original cover art for my cassette tape release "Poiintillism" In the 80s, anything made on a computer was close to a miracle. I played up the pixel look to support the album title. Another thing to note is the complete list of gear used to make the album.

The album has since been remastered and released online. You can download it here:
