    Description
SYNTHOR is a standalone synthesizer audio application that doesn't need any other software to run. It works on Mac and PC and integrates with any professional audio interface. Choose from different audio driver type (ASIO, DirectSound, CoreAudio, etc) as well as the sample rate (96K) and buffer size (24bit). Processing is all done at audio sample rate, so so you have really fast and smooth modulation possibilities and low-latency.

    Choose from unique synth modules

Synth modules are automatically linked to AudioCubes and can be switched easily at the tap of a button. SYNTHOR comes with unique synth modules such as oscillators, filters, waveshapers, noise generators, step sequencers, LFOs, etc.

    Output

At least one cube needs to be configured as an output cube. The output cube will accept any cube next to it and will allow you to listen to the sound of that cube.

    LFO

In SYNTHOR the oscillator and LFO are embedded into the same module: LFO. By turning the frequency of the LFO module very low, you get and LFO and by increasing the frequency value you’re turning it into an oscillator.Choose from different waveforms (Sine, Saw, Square, Triangle) for your LFO.

    Sampler

Load up to 8 samples, and trigger each of these samples using any signal you want, for instance a step sequencer. Run the sampler in loop mode to layer all samples, which will mix all 8 samples together and give you amazing new sounds.

    Noise generator

Choose between simple white noise or toggle noise. Toggle noise resembles to white noise but has a variable frequency. By changing the frequency you determine how many times per second a random value is picked.

    Step Sequencer

Easily draw and save your own pattern for each step sequencer. Use an arbitrary signal such as a clock or the internal clock to drive the sequencer.

    DC Gen

Output a fixed DC level which can be used together with any another synth processor.

    Waveshaper

Scale the input signal to the waveshaper by adjusting the slider to your own preference. Choose how much dry and wet you want by changing its dry/wet parameters.

    SVF

Use a state variable filter next to another synth module to hear the signal of this synth module passing through the SVF. Changing the cutoff/resonance sliders lets you configure the filter the way you want.

    Comb

Simply add a delay to a synth module by using a comb filter.

    WTC Osc

Load your favorite wavetable files and set the number of waves you'd like to use. By dragging the index slider you can choose which wave in the wavetable you'd like to use for the oscillator.

    Choose your modular configuration on-the-fly.

Switch between your self created presets at the touch of a button. Imagine playing live and switching module configurations, patch connections and module settings instantly, for each different song.

Setup a modulation behavior for every synth module

Easily specify what parameters a cube can modulate as well as how they can be modulated in the modulation window. For example you can have an LFO that modulates the amplitude of another LFO or Noise generator, and at the same time being modulated by another cube in its frequency.

Use REMOTE to configure and control SYNTHOR and AudioCubes without having to touch your computer.

SYNTHOR is the only software digital modular synthesizer in the world that lets you patch wirelessly using AudioCubes.
Simply patch synth modules by placing wireless AudioCubes next to each other.

Patch and change modulation depth simultaneously

When you place cubes next to each other, signal connections are made like in a normal modular synthesizer.
Moving cubes closer and further away changes the modulation depth of the signals flowing between the synthesis modules.

    Unique gestural digital modular synthesizer

High-speed and resolution optical sensors let you control 4 parameters per object, all wireless, using your hands, fingers or other objects.

    Get continuous visual feedback

SYNTHOR comes with built-in visualization features that are specifically created for using it together with the AudioCubes.

    Synth module colors

Colors are automatically assigned when selecting a synth module, and can be changed at any time.

    AudioCube selection

Easily switch modulation behavior of every module by letting the selected cube blink.

    Flash connection

Each time a valid connection between 2 cubes or synth modules is made, both cubes flash white during a couple of seconds.
