    The Percussotron III was an 8-voice analog percussion synthesizer developed by Gil Mellé for use on the 1971 "Andromeda Strain" soundtrack. The synthesizer featured 8 separate voices each with its own settings and percussion trigger pad. The Percussotron III was designed for making electronic percussion as well as other sound effects.
