Topic: Transcendent 2000

Recommended Posts

Tim Orr, who also has done work for EMS and Akai, set out to build a synthesizer that was affordable and could be assembled at home by the user. His idea for the Transcendent 2000 has been compared to being the way PAIA offered synth kits. The instrument is a single oscillator synthesizer which features a saw or pulse wave and a noise generator. The filter has low pass or band pass filtering with resonance. There is an Oscillator amplitude envelope section has ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release), while the filter envelope has only Attack and Decay options. The unit also has CV/Gate inputs, a filter pedal input and audio input also.
