Jon Johnson
The Jen String Ensemble SM2007 is one of the earliest and unique string machines of the mid 70s like the ARP Solina, Logan String Melody, Roland VP330 and others. Jen was acquired and rebranded by the Thomas Organ Company as the VOX String Thing. Eventually acquired by Crumar. The instrument is known for it's lush the sound as a string ensemble. It also has an organ section, violin, viola, and cello, and an ensemble effect for all of the sections with auto or manual sustain and attack. The tone can be adjusted between thick and thin.
