Using all the conventions of popular dance music Carrier took recordings of improvised music played on orchestral and electric instruments and turned them into tracks of electronica.

Two decades ago Mark Ireland found a four track recorder and Carrier was born. Using all the conventions of popular dance music Mark took recordings of improvised music played on orchestral and electric instruments and turned them into tracks of electronica.

Twenty artists contributed work on tuned percussion, vibraphone, marimba, drums, sitar, zengh (classical chinese harp), violin, concert harp, flugal horn, upright and electric and picolo basses, congas, timpini and harmonium as well as turntables, synthesisers, the spoken words of Ann Martin and the artwork of Jasper Russell and Lisa Faure-Brac
