    Composer, musician and band leader Mort Garson, known for being among the first to feature synthesizers on recorded record albums, released Mother Earth's Plantasia in 1976. An album dedicated to plants using Moog Modular synthesizers.He also intended for the music on the record to help your plants grow faster. Garson is said to have had a knack for bringing synthesizers to popular musical trends.

    The liner notes state thatit is "Warm Earth music for plants... and the people who love them". The original release came with the booklet Mother Earth's Indoor Plant Care. The album was recorded at Patchcord Productions in Hollywood, California.
