The Dutch producer successfully combines funky bass lines, strong pulsating electro house drumbeats, rich analogue synth lines and spacious production to create ten very melodious tracks. A highlight of this combination is heard in ‘Time Runners’, revolving around a common jazz progression and resolved by a great riff that wouldn’t be out of place in an 80s rock track. The closing track and the first single ‘Milestones’ also demonstrates this and has gained Shook further attention, featuring prominently in an episode of TV series ‘Better Call Saul’.

in love with this album. strong synthesizer sounds used in a musical way. strong funky beats, but also synth pop songs like 'violet hues' to the electronic jazz funk of 'New Horizons' and 'Milestones' with great guitar riffs, funky bass lines and catchy synth hooks. Very cool songs, recommended!
