      What a nice article

Don was a very humble guy. I saw him all the time at small concerts around the Bay Area. You could see he loved the grassroots, where the new and unknown begin.

  1. Seriously, even if you're not into Chiptunes you must check this track out. It's so well done. Fucking epic. Aaron is killing it! All done on a modded game boy.

I think for professionals, things have turned downwards. However, for the hordes of weekend warriors doing art. Things are really much better. There are communities you can access now. People can hear your music however casual or serious it is. You can even perform live and get radio play fairly easy too. Before the internet, it was an exclusive club artists had zero access unless they were a financial oportunity for someone else. Win, lose or draw?

  6. The release “On Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015, in the USA…” by Urbster1 and dRachEmUsik is comprised of four, live, unedited improvisations. The music employs elements of Dark Ambient, Glitch, Drone, Noise and Avant-Jazz. This music was created two days after the mass shooting in San Bernardino, CA. While we didn’t specifically set out to create music based on that horrific event, the shootings and related events clearly had an influence on our creative process.
  7. Mirrors to the Bonfire, the latest collaboration from the critically acclaimed duo of onewayness (Adam Holquist/Erie, PA) and dRachEmUsiK (Charles Shriner/Indianapolis, IN), replaces the exuberance and emotional optimism of their last full-length, 2014’s Immeasurable, with emotional ambiguity and complexity, swapping comfort and joy for unsettling, but ultimately rewarding, drama and melancholy. Mirrors to the Bonfire is a series of meditations on human feedback and the powers of interpersonal interaction. The three long tracks sculpt a polished narrative of conflict and resolution that cyc
  8. I don't listen to much music other than what I'm working on. When working on my personal music I abstain from listening to any music at all. Getting ready to enter an extended period of abstinence as I start writing new music for 2017. Besides, I'm pretty sure real penguins don't listen to music at all!
