Akai Professional AX73 Programmable Polyphonic Synthesizer

    The Akai AX73 is a 6 voice programmable polyphonic analog synthesizer with 73 keys in a bright white finish. The unit features 6 voices with 3 different operating modes.

    In Poly Mode the user can have 1 voice per oscillator and play up to 6 voices. In Dual Mode you can have two voices which gives it a chorusy sound and works as a 3 voice synth. In Unison Mode all 6 voices can be played as one voice for a very thick sound.

    The instrument has MIDI and dedicated inputs for Akai's Sampler's such as the S612 and S700. Another difference in this instrument to consider is the filter is a 24db/oct that can be modulated by the oscillator.
