    Description
The Akai MPC60 Music Production Center hit the shelves running with it's appealing features of 99 sequences(songs) and 99 tracks(parts), extensive drum editing, programming, and, mixing. The MPC60 shined with drum programming and sequencing with it's real time sequencer or step editing sequencing.

The unit also offered a generous mixing section where drums could be panned in stereo, complete with echo send and return. The sampling resolution was still at 12 bit but with 40hz sampling rate and 18 hz bandwidth the clarity of sound was much clearer than ever before.

And easy on the eyes a 40 character and 8 line LCD display really helped with onboard editing and recording. Storage method was also improved over previous samplers from Akai by using a standard floppy drive and double density floppy disks.
