    Description
The MS6 is a six voice analog synthesizer from UK manufacturer Cheetah. The unit is also multitimbral with up to 6 timbres in multitimbral mode. There are two digitally controlled oscillators per voice and resides in a single 19" rackspace. The user interface is sparse for user control but has MIDI and third party support of firmware updates for it's operating system.

The unit is often compared to the Oberheim Matrix 6 sound module of the mid 1980's and excels at analog string sounds and leads. It offers two envelopes. Some of the envelope's controls are permanently connected however envelope 2 allows the user to select PWM, pitch, or filter cutoff. The oscillators have square, saw, and triangle waveforms plus noise on oscillator B. Over the years users have used sysex editors and control panel plugins to control and edit the instrument. the unit currently is still sought after and commands a higher than usual price in the used market.
