Korg Poly 800

   0 reviews  -  1400 views

Korg released the 8 voice programmable Poly 800 in 1983. In addition to having 8 voice polyphony, the instrument sported 49 keys, 1 DCO pervoice or 4 if switched into double mode for a fatter sound. It also has a chorus effect, VCF filter with single and mulitmodes, a joystick that could modulate the filter or DCO's.

It also offered 3 digital envelope generators a noise generator, a 256 event sequencer, and, guitar strap pegs so the player could strap it on to play it like a guitarist. MIDI was a basic affair offering note on/off, and modulation.

The user programmed patches via 2 data entry buttons and screen printed matrix of the front panel.
