    Description
With today's music becoming increasingly diverse and demanding, it's important that you, as a keyboard player, are able to get the sound you want as easily as possible. We're not saying that our MX-880 is THE ONE instrument, that will eliminate the need for all others, but then, what is? We do know that it can be a valuable tool in the realization of your musical ideas. With the MX-880's advanced circuitry it is possible to achieve an infinite number of sounds instantly, and without the hassle of patch cords. This way you can keep your mind on your performance and your music, not your equipment.

Entire keyboard is tune-able, a semitone in either direction, for pitch versatility while playing as well as tuning to other keyboard or instruments.

Modulation speed control regulates speed of the vibrato. random note. and repeat in touch and pre-set modes. LED indicators provide visual guide to speed.

A fully variable filter section allows for additional contouring and coloring of notes. Slide controls for modulation, frequency cut-off, and resonance are provided for visual recognition and easy accessibility.

Modulation control regulates intensity (amount) of Low Frequency Modulation. Cutoff frequency (or tone control) is a variable active low pass filter to contour the sound or add or regulate brightness. Resonance control effects the overtone content of notes played: in conjunction with the cutoff frequency.

Being a Duo-Sonic or Dual Oscillator synthesizer. it is possible to get two notes while depressing one key. A three position switch makes possible selotion between one note output, two note unison or a variable second note (interval continuously variable through the use of a slide control).

Second-touch sensitivity is available in all pre-set modes, providing unlimited artistic expression without additional adjustment while performing. By using second touch sensitivity mode with further depression of a key a second triggered effect is introduced (which is selectible and combinable). Effects include volume. wow, growl, vibrato (speed regulated by modulation speed control). and pitch bend (up or down). Degree of intensity in second-touch sensitivity is regulated with a rotary pot.

Portamento (Glide) can be set on touch; so that a continuous movement from note to note will result in a glide while releasing note to note (Staccato) will result in normal frequency selection of key. When Portamento is ON; either Legato (smooth) or Staccato (short keyboard touch technique will result in a glide (speed of glide variable in both settings).

The envelope can be shaped to make notes sustain longer, or they can actually be sustained indefinitely until another note is played or cancelled. With the repeat mode active, stunning effects can be achieved. (example banjo strumming)
Notes can be either random triggered or LFO frequency oscillator triggered. Speed can be adjusted with modulation speed slide control. Three octave range (Total keyboard range nine octaves) for every pre-set mode is attainable by using the three position transpose switch (L-M-H).
