Roland JD-990

   0 reviews  -  1792 views

The Roland JD-990 is the rackmount version of the Roland JD-800 synthesizer with more expansion than the JD-800. The unit is a multitimbral synthesizer based on Roland's previous technologies with room for more expansion and control of the sounds. The basis for sound of it's oscillators is sample based wavetable and subtractive synthesis. The unit also offers 4 stereo outputs that can also be assigned to individual sounds.

The JD-990 has many lush and beautiful digital sounds and also is right at home at emulating analog synthesis. It also has Roland's FXM synthesis function in other words is Frequency Cross Modulation. The unit also has an expansion slot that allows the user to install various Roland expansion cards from the SR-JV80 series.
