Synton Syntovox 222 Vocoder

   (0 reviews)

The Synton Syntovox 222 Vocoder is from Netherlands builder Synton who also produced the Syrinx and Fenix I and II synthesizers. Synton is often compared to EMS, Sennheiser, Roland and other high end studio vocoder manufacturers.

The 222 is a simplified version of the larger 221 Vocoder released around the same time as the 222 and designed for performing musicians and offered direct vocal control of over a range of octaves for speech synthesis and percussion effects.

The 222 has a built in noise generator that is mixed in with the carrier signal.

The specification for the front panel knobs are:

Cleanfeed Speech - controls the amount of speech signal mixed with the effect output

Cleanfeed Carrier - controls the amount of carrier signal mixed with the effect output

Noise/HF Syn - controls the amount of noise mixed with the effect output

Speech - controls the level of the speech input fed to the vocoder

Carrier - controls the level of the carrier fed to the vocoder
