Description
The Synton Syrinx is a monophonic analog synthesizer with unique features such as a metal touchplate for manipulating sound and a formant filter.

The instrument was conceived by Synton company founder Felix Visser who also consulted with Bob Moog at the time. Much of the instruments emphasis is on it's filter which also is a Formant filter as well as Parallel Bandpass filters.

Visser's company started by making and selling Vocoders and he was interested in implementing a Formant Filter into the Syrinx. It features 2 VCO's, a Sub Oscillator, Noise Generator, Ring Modulator, and, 3 Filters. There's also 2 LFO's and 2 Envelope Generators.

Today the Syrinx is one of those rare synths that are hard to come by and expensive to buy when you do.
